Cati was such a wonderful, beautiful girl. She had the sweetest personality and fully loved her people with all her heart, especially my mother, Sandy Brockway. We miss Cati dearly, and are so sad that she had to leave us so young. Cati had a rough short life full of health problems that we believe were associated with an autoimmune disease. In late May 2010, Cati began getting infested with demodectic mange (usually a puppy mange and due to lowered immune system functioning--not contagious) which quickly turned into a severe secondary staph infection all over her legs, chest, and underside of her neck and head. Both were unresponsive to medications and antibiotics. June 9th, 2010 Cati lost all the fight in her and we knew that we had to make the very difficult decision to have her put to sleep. We will always miss Cati and are happy that we could have been part of her very short life. Rest in peace sweet girl, we love you.
